RCC Burgee

Spring Bank Holiday, May 2009, Isle of Wight Get Together.

Spring Bank Holiday saw us blessed with sunny conditions, but light wind from the East, which meant having to use the engine. Six RCC boats made it to the Island, four to Newtown Creek, Giorsal, Ocean Tracker, Purbeck Star, and WindRush. Two went on to the Medina River, Corky and Chinaman, who missed out on a great Sunday lunch at Shalfleet.

On Monday Ocean Tracker went up the Medina River to Newport. Giorsal, and WindRush went to Sheperds Wharf at Cowes.

Thursday Giorsal and WindRush made it to Yarmouth for the Old Gaffers Festival.

Sunday afternoon saw WindRush making its way back to Poole, while Giorsal made ready for its trip to Brittany.
